Alfred Snyder Mooneyhan

Alfred Snyder “Al” Mooneyhan 79 of Sanford passed away Tuesday July 28, 2020. Private services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Mooneyhan was born in Lee Co, SC a son of the late George Breece Mooneyhan and Vernie Horton Mooneyhan. Al retired from Weyerhaeuser after 30 years. He was a mechanic all of his life and many considered him to be the best mechanic around. He enjoyed tinkering with Volkswagens, and car racing. He loved his family and was husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather ever.

Mr. Mooneyhan is survived by his wife, Emily Williamson Mooneyhan; daughters, Jeannine Jones (Freddie), Rhonda Dark, and Madison Roberts; grandchildren, Erin Poe (Michael), Kristin Dark (Jeremy), and Breanna Jones; great grandchildren, Trey Poe, Makenzie Brown and Lucas Clark; brothers, Gerald Mooneyhan and George Mooneyhan.

The family will greet friends at the home.
