Bobby Blue Johnson

Bobby Blue Johnson, 84 passed away Thursday October 27, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday November 3, 2022, at Lemon Springs United Methodist Church at 3:00pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Bobby was born in Lee Co. to the late Clarence Johnson Sr. and Alma Willett Johnson. He retired US Air Force as a Sr MSgt and retired from Lee County as Director of Public Works. He worked as a supervisor with NCDOT for several years and was a devoted member of Lemon Springs United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Faye Sellars Johnson.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy T. Johnson; daughters Elizabeth “Liz: J. Carter (Ray) and Stephanie Johnson; stepdaughter Vicki Kidd (Randy); grandchildren Bobby Carter (Madison), and Ryan Carter; great grandchildren Emma Carter, Mason Carter, and Madalynn Carter; sister Rebecca Tillman; and brother Clarence Johnson Jr. (Rhonda).

Family will receive friends before the service at the church from 1:00pm – 2:45pm.
