Bobby Ray Yarborough

Bobby Ray Yarborough, 76 of Sanford peacefully passed away Sunday December 8, 2019 surrounded by his family. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Yarborough was born in Lee Co, a son of the late Roy Yarborough and Florence Lanier Yarborough. He was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Frances Bohler, James Yarborough and Larry Yarborough. Bobby was a “jack of all trades”. Whether it be mechanicing or carpentry or whatever, he could fix and do most anything. He enjoyed making his morning and afternoon rounds checking on friends and their gardens and crops, or the progress of a construction project.

Mr. Yarborough is survived by his wife, Darrell McCleney Yarborough; sons, Eddie Yarborough (Sandy) and Robert Yarborough (Samaris Serra); grandchildren, Shane Yarborough, Paige Yarborough, Jade Yarborough, and Samaya Yarborough; sister, Jo Ann Thomas; sister in law, Judy McCleney; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends beginning at 1:00pm Wednesday at the Funeral Home prior to the Memorial service.
