Bonnie Carolyne Pelkey

Bonnie Carolyne Pelkey, 59, of Cameron went with God on Monday September 16, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held on Monday September 23, 2024 at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home beginning with a viewing from 12-2pm followed by celebration of life service.

Bonnie was born a daughter of the late Thomas Strittmatter and Susan Morris Strittmatter. Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend. She was a beautiful, kind, intelligent, loving and generous woman who constantly put others needs before her own. She would light up any room and knew how to put a smile on everyone’s face. She was a tough person, but she had the best sense of humor and was always cracking jokes. To know her was to love her tremendously. While she loved the ocean, fishing, animals, and gardening, her family was the thing she loved and cared for the most with her children being at the top of that list. She was a dedicated baseball, softball, and volleyball Mom who never missed a practice or a game. Bonnie was a military spouse her entire marriage and was strong through all the deployments. She loved being a Grandma and her grandchildren meant the world to her. She is the heart of her family and will be deeply missed. Bonnie Carolyne Pelkey is a one-of-a-kind human and her love for her family will forever be unsurpassed. She will be remembered always. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Strittmatter.

She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years of marriage Robert Pelkey; son Robert Alan Pelkey II (Ashley); daughter Ashley Marie Bless (Robert); beautiful grandchildren Aubrey Jo Pelkey, Carter Alan Pelkey, and Caroline Marie Bless; brothers Matthew Strittmatter, Daniel Strittmatter, Mark Strittmatter, John Strittmatter, and Luke Strittmatter; and sister Charlene Chait.

The family will receive friends and family from 12-2pm before the service at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Buffalo Cemetery.
