Catherine Cox Simmons

Catherine Elaine Cox Simmons, 66 of Sanford passed away Tuesday June 13, 2023. Funeral services will be held from 5:00 until 6:00 pm Friday (6/16/2023) at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home.

Mrs. Simmons was born Honolulu, HI, daughter of the late William “Bill” Cox Jr and Mattie Ellen Horton Cox. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Patrick Simmons.

Mrs. Simmons is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Spencer (Ryan) of Sanford, and Melissa Smith (Chad) of Roan Mtn, TN; three brothers, Rick Cox (Connie) of Wilmington, Michael Cox (Kaycey) of Pittsboro, and Bryan Cox (Teresa) of Wilmington; grandchildren, Cole Smith (Kayla), Katie Taylor (Chris), Caden Smith, April Stone, Hannah Spencer, Cooper Smith, Sarah Spencer, and Clara Smith; great grandchildren, Paxton Taylor, Lennox Taylor, Spencer Taylor, Callen Smith, and Charlee Smith.
