Clorene "Dot" Jones

Clorene “Dot” Dennie Jones, 91, of Sanford passed away on Tuesday July 20, 2021. Memorial services will be held in the Chapel on July 24, 2021 at 4:00 PM at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home.

Dot was born in Linville Falls to the late Jeff Hines Dennie and Rena Delois Franklin Dennie. Dot loved her family and was cherished by all. She was also preceded in death by her husbands Fletcher Davis and John Jones; grandson Michael Jefferson; sister Bertie Bolton; and brothers Albert Dennie, Cecil Dennie, and Billy Gordon Denny.

She is survived by her daughter Beverly Gojan (Bob) of Sanford; son Ron Davis (Kathy) of Greer SC; daughter Heather Harrison (Sandy) of Simpsonville SC; grandchildren Nolan Davis (Tavia), Ashley Outz (Cannon), Joshua Motes, Stacey Adams, Carol Gojan (Brandi Benton); great grandchildren Jack Davis, Ashley Hawkins (Tim), Kailan Bradford (Deven), Carly Jefferson, Arianna Outz, Michaela Motes, Caden Jefferson, and Ava Adams; sisters Barbara Eddins of Hildebran, Alice Robbins of Hickory, and Judy Cole of Hildebran; brother Tommy Dennie (Debbie) of Hildebran; daughter in law Liz Chapman; and sister in laws Billie Dennie of Hildebran and Edna "Pinkie" Dennie.

Visitation will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday 7/24/2021 at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home.

Dot’s favorite color was purple, and all are encouraged to wear purple for the service.
