Colin Drake Morris

Colin Drake Morris, 19, of Sanford passed away on Thursday January 26, 2023. A memorial service will be held on Sunday February 5, 2023, at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home at 3pm. Family will receive friends starting at 1pm before the service.

Colin was born in Moore Co. to his loving parents James Garret Morris and Christina C. Morris. He loved Elmo and Christmas and was described as a little warrior and fighter. Forever small but mighty.

He is survived by his parents James Garret Morris and Christina C. Morris; brothers Jonathan Kellam (Elizabeth) and Riley Morris; maternal grandmother Diane Fore; paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Steve Johnson; aunts Amy Carter, Jennifer Cassevah, Carrie Sloan, and Cathy Wilson; uncle Jim Wilson; and many cousins and great-aunts and great-uncles.

He was preceded in death by his loving grandfather Thomas Cassevah; great-grandmother Norma Cassevah; great gandmother Lona Howard and cousin Philip Gunter.

Knight Teaching staff, Sarah Craig and Terri McVay; and Bayada Nursing Staff, Leeann Wierzbicki, Kayla Canfora, Jennifer Bergin, Lisa Melby, and Sara Lake.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Easterseals UCP Lee County Group Home, 4334 Lee Avenue, Sanford, NC 27330.

The family asks that attendees wear Christmas themed apparel in honor of Colin’s love of Christmas.
