Dale Franklin Curry of Sanford died Tuesday morning, May 31, 2016, at his home.
Curry, 56, was a native of Lee County, the son of Sarah Smith Curry and the late George Curry. He was a graduate of Lee County Senior High School, where he was a manager of the wrestling team. He was an Eagle Scout and member of Troop 904 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, and was a member of the Sonshine Group and Love Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church.
He was employed at Lee County Industries and had previously worked at Hardee's and Trion.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Curry, and two sisters, Paula Christine Curry and Georgia Jill Curry.
Surviving are his mother, Sarah S. Curry of Sanford; a brother, Stephen A. Curry, and two nephews, Patrick and Grant Curry, all of Atlanta.
The family extends special thanks to Trina Oldham and Chris Morris of UCP Home and to the leaders of Special Ministries at First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Friday at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Lemon Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The Family will receive friends beginning at 1:30pm Friday in the Parlor at First Baptist Church.
