Donald Gross

Donald Lee Gross, 66, of Sanford passed away surrounded by his family and friends on Friday March 5, 2021. Donald was born in Bristol Tennessee to Harold Lee Gross and Wilma Gay Gross. He was a retired truck driver from Valley Protein. Don was known by hillbilly to many but “Shaggy” to his best friend. He fought a hard battle with cancer but never let it keep him from being a great friend to all that knew him. He is survived by his father Harold Lee Gross; wife Kay Cross Gross; sons Michael Baumgardner, Joseph Cross, and Chandler Gross; daughters LeAnne Gross, and Taylor Bullard; grandson Kyle Baumgardner; brothers Kenneth Gross (Nancy), and Rick Gross; 2 great nephews dear to his heart Karsen Heustess and Ayden Heustess; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Wilma Gay Gross; son Donald Lee Baumgardner; and 2 angel babies.
