Dorothy Jane Edwards Orum

Dorothy Jane Edwards Orum, 89 of Sanford passed away Tuesday April 5, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday April 9, 2022, at New Life Bible Church. Burial will follow at Cool Springs Baptist Church cemetery.

Born in Scranton, PA, Dorothy was a daughter of the late John Hodge Edwards and Sophia Winieg Edwards. she was preceded in death by sons Dan Orum and Jack Orum. Mrs. Orum and John were instrumental in establishing New Life Bible Church. Dorothy was a prayer warrior caring for church family. She was considered a Proverb 31 wife caring for family, also active in the Gideons.

Mrs. Orum is survived by her husband, John Orum; children, Ruth Cardilli, James Orum, Kathy Raymer (Pete), Elizabeth Pierce (Greg), Mary Elizabeth Rackley (Jason), and Lawrence Orum (Ming Chu) and daughter in law Kathy Orum; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor Kropf (Edward) and Lois Palaick (Kenneth).

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00pm at the funeral home and Saturday at 10:00am at New Life Bible Church.
