Emily Buchanan

Emily Walker Buchanan, born January 13, 1916 and passed Thursday June 8, 2017 at Parkview Retirement at the age of 101. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am June 20 in the chapel at First Presbyterian.

Emily was born in Macon, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Chris A. Walker and Emma D. Walker. She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Buchanan, daughter Nancy E. Buchanan, and sisters Betty Houghtaling and Sara Pritchett.

She is survived by her sister Charlotte Dracousis of Sanford and many nieces and nephews.

She was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church. She loved to read and was a member of the Pierian Book Club for many years.
