Faydine Boulton Currin, 98, of Sanford passed away peacefully at home on Saturday February 19, 2022, surrounded by family. A joint committal with military honors for Wade M. Currin and Faydine B. Currin will be held on Thursday February 24, 2022, by Rev. Gabe Lamazares at 2pm at the grave site on the corner of Miami Boulevard and Taylor Street in Woodlawn Memorial Park, 2107 Liberty Street, Durham, NC 27703.
Mrs. Currin was born in Fort Lee NJ to the late Robert Richard Boulton and Elizabeth Helen Crutchfield Boulton. She served in WWII WAVES, US NAVY, and NAVY AIR GUNNERY School of which time she was stationed in Bronx, NY, and Hollywood, Fl. She lived in Durham NC, and Las Vegas NV prior to moving to Sanford, NC.
She attended Cosmetology School, licensed Cosmetologist, and Secretarial School in Durham, NC. She was a devoted and loving mother, wife, and homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Wade M. Currin Jr; brothers Harold Boulton, and Gerald Boulton; and grandson Daniel M. Gunter.
Mrs. Currin is survived by a son Michael W. Currin, aka “JT Austin”; daughter June C. Gunter (Steve) of Sanford; grandson Steve Gunter II; great granddaughter Madison A. Gunter; many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
