Francine Johnson Starnes

Francine Johnson Starnes, 87, of Cameron passed away on Tuesday September 21, 2021. Memorial services will be held Saturday October 9th at 11:00am at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home.

Ms. Starnes was born in Lee Co. to the late Aldon Franklin Johnson and Lucile Thompson Johnson. She was a graduate of Cameron School, Duke University and Boston University with a MBA. She lived abroad for many years and on both sides of the US and was Accounting Director for Cumberland County Hospital Systems until her retirement. Francine was an avid animal lover who enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed. She was also predeceased by son William Brantley Starnes II.

She is survived by her daughter Annette Francine Starnes Stone of Cameron; grandson Rocky Andrew Stone and his wife Kelly; brother John Wiley Johnson of Raleigh; and many nieces and nephews.
