Fred Fuller Watson

Fred Fuller Watson, 90 of Sanford passed away Monday April 29, 2024. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Pocket Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Watson was born in Sanford a son of the late Frank Fuller Watson and Chloie Copeland Watson. He was preceded in death by siblings, Carl Watson, Julia Cain, Lois Cross, Becky Satterfield and Betty Sue Gunter. Fred was a member of Pocket Presbyterian Church where he served many capacities over the years and sang in the Church Choir for 60 years. He was a Veteran of the US Army and retired from Cornell Dubilier after 32 years and then went into the Auction business.

Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Sylvia Ellis Watson; son, Jeff Watson (Jaci) of Sanford; daughter, Joan W. Dorman (Douglas) of Myrtle Beach, SC; ten grandchildren, Parker Watson, Carter Curtin (Brandon), Fuller Watson (Michaela), John Michael Dorman (Nicolle), Corrie Morris (Josh), Laurel Paskauskas (Josh), Nate Dorman (Paula), Ian Dorman (Lydia), Charis Goodroe (Davis), and Lottie Dorman; great grandchildren, Watson, Sylvie, Zelda, Allie Gray, Jane, Luara, Noelle, Shepherd … and 3 more on the way.

The family will greet friends following the Graveside service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
