Helen Cockman Edwards

Helen Cockman Edwards, 82 of Sanford peacefully passed away Monday March 24, 2025. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday March 29th at the Cameron Church Cemetery, Cameron, NC.

Mrs. Edwards was born in Moore Co, daughter of the late Gurney Cockman and Lillie Crabtree Cockman. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Joseph Flynn Edwards; siblings, Lester Cockman, Richard Cockman, and Johnsie Cockman Wood. She was a 1960 graduate of Cameron High School and an active member of Cameron United Methodist Church until her health declined.

Mrs. Edwards is survived by her daughter, Kathy E. Yarborough (Freddie) of Sanford; son Mark Edwards (Terri) of Woodstock, GA; grandson, Cameron Joseph Yarborough of Morrisville; several nieces and nephews.
