Helen Blakeley Kelly

Helen Blakeley Kelly, 94, of Sanford passed away Thursday July 7, 2022.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 12, 2022, at 11am at Ephesus Baptist Church. Burial to follow at Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Kelly was born in Lee Co. to the late James Marvin Blakeley and Lelah Kirkman.  She was a dedicated member of Ephesus Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and youth group. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed crocheting Afghan’s.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Fred Blakeley, Jack Blakeley, and Herman Blakeley.

She is survived by her children Sylvia Howie of Haltom City, TX, Ann Williams (Bobby) of Indian Trail, NC, Warren Kelly of Sanford, NC, Johnny Kelly (Nancy) of Sanford NC, and Pam Hackney of Pittsboro, NC; sisters Marie Key of Greensboro, NC, Faye Adams of Jensen Beach, FL, and Lucille Campbell of Cameron, NC; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall following the service.
