Helen Marie Thomas

Helen Marie Thomas, 81 of Sanford passed away Tuesday October 30, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Sunday at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Cemetery.

Mrs. Thomas was born in Robeson Co, daughter of the late Luther Thomas and Gathie Smith Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband Joel K. Thomas, a grandson, Anthony Ragan, sisters Ira Lee Lowry and Geneva Locklear. For many years Helen worked at the Country Cupboard and also, along with her husband Joel they owned and operated “The Bowman” until their retirement in 2016.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by her son, Joel Keith Thomas Jr and wife Norma Jean; daughters, Sheila Holt and husband Jerry, and Becky Ragan and husband Charles; grandchildren, Christine Holt, Jordan Holt and Chas Ragan; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends starting at 1:30pm Sunday at the Funeral Home prior to the Funeral, and at other times will be at 998 Zion church Rd, Sanford.
