Ina Johnstone

Ina Cole Johnstone, 81 of Sanford passed away Wednesday August 29, 2018. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday at St Luke United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Johnstone was born in Kinston, daughter of the late William Clayton Cole and Mildred Evelyn Hudson Cole. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Cole Keaton. Mrs. Johnstone worked and retired from Carolina Women’s Health Center after many years of service.

Mrs. Johnstone is survived by her children, Dr. William Miller Johnstone Jr and wife Melissa, Joni Martin and husband Joe and Jenny Pickard and husband Terry; grandchildren, Miller, Jordan, Christian, Hanna, Claire, Daniel, Emma and Will; great grandchildren, Ryder, Webb, Maclaine, Ivey Grace, Hudson, JJ and Quinn; a sister, Carolyn Cole of Kinston and a brother, Tommy Cole of Goldsboro; and her former husband, Bill Johnstone.

The family will greet friends following the service.

The Tides, a nonprofit 501(C) (3) Corporation, providing comprehensive, collaborative treatment programs for pregnant women with opioid use disorder located in Wilmington, NC which strives to foster healthy mothers having healthy babies.
