Irela B. Love

Irela Baker Love, 94, of Sanford passed away December 19, 2020. Graveside services will be held on December 22, 2020 at 2:00pm at Shallow Well Cemetery.

Irela was born in Harnett Co. to the late Burtis Baker and Nannie Thomas Baker Baggett. She loved her family and grandchildren. She loved her church and had a fondness for seafood.

She is survived by her daughter Kay L. Melby (Bobby) of Sanford; sister Marie Baker of Sanford; brother Ralph Baker (Marquetta); daughter-in-law Juana Love; grandchildren Paul Love, Carmen Love, Shannon Freeman (Steve), and Brandon Melby; 10 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Eugene Love; son Eddie Love; grandsons David Love and Shawn Melby; brother Lee Bert Baker; sisters Jessie Lee Norris, Viola Calcutt, Ethelene Bullard, Alberta Morgan, Shelby Jean Baker, Burlena Davis, Dorothy Riddle, and Hazel Donathan.

Family and Friends may visit Rogers Pickard Funeral Home on Monday December 21, 2020 from 12pm-5pm to sign the register and pay their respects.
