Jack Dempsey Dickens, 76, of Sanford passed away on Monday surrounded by his family and friends (12/18/23). Funeral services will be held at Grace Chapel Church in Sanford on Thursday (12/21/23) at 3pm. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 2pm at Grace Chapel Church.

Mr. Dickens was born in Lee Co. to the late Jack Dempsey Dickens Sr. and Ruby Faucette Dickens. Mr. Dickens loved the Lord, family, his church, and church family. He was an avid reader. He enjoyed fishing trips with his buddies and traveling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Ronald L. Dickens.

He is survived by his wife Ann Fulford Dickens; son Samuel Chad Dickens (Crystal); daughter Beth King (Ryan); grandchildren Samuel Dickens (Alison), Brittany Dickens, Chase King, and Peyton King; 5 great grandchildren; and sister Sharon Dickens.
