James G. Ashworth

James G. Ashworth, 78 of Sanford passed away Wednesday October 31, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Monday at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens.

Mr. Ashworth was born in Wake Co, son of the late Grady Ashworth and Irene May Fuller Ashworth. He was preceded in death by his grandson, James Monroe"Duck" Bullard, granddaughter, Amber Ashworth and great granddaughter, Sophia Ashworth. James loved doing the Lord's work, playing music, and riding motorcycles.

Mr. Ashworth is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret G. Ashworth; his children, Linda Carr (Dennis), Barbara Ashworth, and Jerry Ashworth (Angie); three grandchildren, Billy Bullard, Matthew Ashworth, and Jerry Wayne Ashworth; great grandchildren, Maci Ashworth, Alli Ashworth, Taylor Bullard, and Jordan Bullard; sister, Ruby A. Gonzalez; his aunt, "Granny" Florence Baker; special friend, Nelson Quick.

The family will receive friends starting at 1:00pm Monday, before the Funeral, at the Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
