Janet Tabor Carter

Janet Tabor Carter, 69, of Sanford passed away Tuesday November 15, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday November 20, 2022, at Tramway Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Sunday (11/20/2022) starting at 3:00 pm before the service at Tramway Baptist Church. There will be a visitation in Hendersonville, NC at the Refuge Baptist Church from 12:00 until 1:00 pm Tuesday (11/22/2022).

Janet was born in Hendersonville NC, to the late Clarence “Toby” Tabor and Grace Edney Tabor. She enjoyed playing canasta, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Kevin Lloyd Tabor and sister Judith Huntley.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years Samuel Leo Carter; daughter Amanda Brooke Carter; niece Kristan Huntley; nephew Adam Huntley; aunt Norma Jean “Bug” Wright; and many family and friends.
