Janet Hunter Long

Janet Hunter Long, 82 of Sanford peacefully passed away Tuesday October 10, 2023, at her home.

No services are scheduled at this time.

Mrs. Long was born in Lee Co, a daughter of the late James Herbert Hunter and Lenora Thomas Hunter. She was preceded in death by her siblings, James Lee Hunter, Charles Hunter, Johnny Hunter, and Pam Simpson. Janet was a member of Jonesboro Heights Baptist Church, and a dedicated loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mrs. Long is survived by her husband, Larry L. Long; sons, Larry Keith Long (Rebecca) of San Antonio, TX, and Garry Lane Long of Sanford; daughter, Leslie L. Cox of Pittsboro; six grandchildren, Carter Long, Patricia Long, Elizabeth Long, Catie Cox, Charlotte Cox, and Evan Cox.
