Jimmie Bunyan Vick Jr.

Jimmie Bunyan Vick Jr. (J.B.), 92, of Sanford passed away peacefully on December 7, 2021 with family by his side. Funeral services will be held 3:00pm on Saturday December 11, 2021 at East Sanford Baptist Church.

J.B. was born in Edgecombe Co. to the late Jimmie Bunyan Vick and Lessie Joyner. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Bill Vick. J.B. was a dedicated member of East Sanford Baptist Church. He served in the Navy on the USS Missouri and Wisconsin. He worked at Roberts Company for 45 years before retiring at the age of 62. He enjoyed being outside in his garden. He had a great love for cake and ice cream.

He is survived by his wife Virginia Gay Vick; daughters Judy Coffer and Deborah Stone (Willis); sons Jimmie Vick lll (Kim), Lee Vick (Kim), and David Vick (Nancy); 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Saturday December 11, 2021, from 1:00 until 3:00pm before the service.
