Jimmy Lee Clark 78, of Sanford passed away Tuesday February 23, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Saturday at Barbecue Church Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Mr. Clark was born in Harnett County, NC and was a son of the late John Harmon and Zaila Godfrey Clark Sr. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Dolly Mae C. Matthews, Jessie C. Perry, and Nancy C. Ridenhour; and one brother John H. Clark Jr. He was a 1956 graduate of Benhaven High School where he was selected as “Mr. Neat” for the senior superlative. He was a tobacco farmer, avid Carolina fan, and a longtime member of Barbecue Presbyterian Church. Mr. Clark also sang in the choir and was a member of the Men’s Prayer Breakfast.
Mr. Clark is survived by one brother Billy Ray Clark of Hope Mills, NC; many nieces and nephews; many great nieces and great nephews; and many great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm Friday at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home.
