John Glass, Jr

John B. “Johnny” Glass Jr, 73 of Sanford passed away Wednesday June 16, 2021. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday June 19, 2021, at 4pm at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Glass was born in Lee Co, son of the late John B. “Frosty” Glass Sr and Myrtle Ray Simpson Glass. He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Glass Banks. John loved to fish, watch sports, and play golf and be with his family during the holidays. Mr. Glass is survived by his sister, Judy Glass Hamilton (Tom) of Sanford; nieces Tammy Strickland (Allan) and Mary Osborne (Jeff); nephews Charles Banks (Teresa), Bryan Banks, Sam Hamilton (Alicia), John Hamilton (Kim), and Mark Hamilton (Laura Lea); 19 great nieces and nephews; and 7 great-great nieces and nephews with one more on the way in October. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 3pm until 4pm at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home prior to the service. John loved the Lord Jesus Christ and Grace Christian Ministries.
