John Gordon Hunter

John Gordon Hunter, 87 of Sanford passed away Thursday November 2, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Saturday at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens.

Mr. Hunter was born in Lee County son of the late Rupert Hunter and Ruby Holder Hunter; He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel Stone Hunter, two sons, John Lewis Hunter and Ronald Lee Hunter; and brothers, Roland Hunter, James Lewis Hunter and Tommy Hunter Sr.

Mr. Hunter is survived by a son, Randy G. Hunter; sisters, Barbara Jackson, Blanche Womack, Sue Heath, and Roberta Bunnell; a brother, Joseph S. Hunter; a special uncle, Lex Hunter and many nieces and nephews; his faithful dog, Scooter.

The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00pm Saturday before the funeral.
