Johnny Davis Butler

Johnny Davis Butler, age 80, of Pittsboro, NC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, surrounded by his family. 

Johnny was born in Union City, GA, on September 16, 1944, to the late Henry Davis Butler and Ada Alether Butler. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Hazel C. Butler and Mary L. Hoggard (William) and his wife of 57 years, Judith Kay Butler. 

Johnny is survived by his children Jason Davis Butler and Jannell Hanood (Keith), and grandson Austin (21). He is survived by one sibling - his sister, Dixie Cochran (Gary). He is also survived by his brother in-law, Gerald Miller (Zana). Many nieces and nephews were loved by their Uncle Johnny.

Johnny served in the US Air Force from 1962-1966. He enjoyed his 40+ year career driving 18 wheelers across America. When he wasn’t driving, he loved fishing and being with his kids and grandson.

The celebration of life service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Goldston Methodist Church, 185 Hillcrest Avenue, Goldston, NC 27252.
