Joseph Gary Allen

Joseph Gary Allen, 85 of Sanford passed away Friday July 7, 2023. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday (7/15/2023) at Buffalo Cemetery.

Mr. Allen was born in Kasota, MN son of the late Robert Allen and Ione Rosalee Mladek Allen and was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years Shelia Allen and daughter, Carla Allen Anderson. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force, retired from CP&L (now Duke Energy) and was a Golden Glove Boxing Champion. Joe was a graduate of Montgomery High School in Montgomery, MN and attended and played football at St John’s College.

Mr. Allen is survived by his son in law Aaron Anderson of Sanford; daughter, Barbara Jo Moeller of MN; sons, Brian Allen, Robert Allen, Terry Joe Allen, all of MN and Kevin Allen of IL. Several grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
