Judy Stewart Garner, 67, of Sanford passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 2 pm at Euphronia Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Judy was born in Lee County to the late Leonard Odell Stewart and Betty Hogan Stewart. Recently retired from First Bank in March of 2024, Judy was looking forward to spending time doing her favorite things with the people she loved most. She enjoyed sewing special gifts for her loved ones and friends, fishing – even when they didn’t bite, playing video games with her grandchildren, keeping an endless supply of goody bags for the great-grandchildren and tending to the farm animals. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Roger William Garner, sons William Lester Garner and Jerry Wayne Garner, daughter Wendy Jean Garner; brother Donald Stewart; and sister Gloria (Sissy) Stewart Bissette.
Judy will be remembered for her unwavering love, resilience, and the countless cherished memories she leaves behind. Her legacy lives on in her family, whose lives she enriched immeasurably through wisdom, love, and laughter.
She is survived by her husband Charles Garner, daughters Sherry Kellam (Scott), Lisa McWhorter; grandchildren Stephen McWhorter, Issac Kellam, Cassidy Kellam (Storm) and Alyssa Rodriguez (Gavin); and great grandchildren, Rowan Whitehead and Blaine Whitehead.
