Judy Glass Hamilton

Judith "Judy" Esther Glass Hamilton, Age 78, of Sanford, North Carolina went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, Oct 1, 2021, at Central Carolina Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on December 31, 1942, in Sanford NC, to the late John Baxter "Frosty" Glass and Myrtle Ray Simpson Glass. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Brenda Glass Banks and her brother John B."Johnny" Glass, Jr. After graduating from Sanford Central High in 1961 and UNCG, Judy spent her time raising her children. Later, she worked for her son for 16 years until retirement.

Judy was a long-time member of Grace Chapel Church, Grace Chapel Choir, Annie Belle Register Missionary Society, and an active volunteer for the Awana program at her church for over twenty years.

Her hobbies included spreading love to her family and all who surrounded her, traditional family vacations and events, actively sharing the gospel wherever she went, never missing grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's miscellaneous events, and forever being the best cheerleader and shoulder to cry on. From Canasta to Christmas parties, to singing on friends' front lawns, she was the spirit of her family and her legacy will live on forever throughout the lives of her children and grandchildren.

Judy is survived by her husband Thomas Samuel "Tom" Hamilton, Jr. and their five children, Tammy Hamilton Strickland (Allan), Thomas Samuel Hamilton, III (Alicia), John Glass Hamilton (Kim), Mark Kennedy Hamilton (Laura Lea), and Mary Hamilton Osborne (Jeff), her seventeen grandchildren, Victoria Hamilton Lee (Brandon), Lauren Strickland Giggey (Ryan), William Hunter Hamilton (Michelle), Matthew Allan Strickland, John Glass Hamilton Jr, Sarah Ann Hamilton, Dawson Thomas Hamilton, Mary Chandler Hamilton Bouldin, (Trevor),Gabriel Hamilton Osborne, Lydia May Hamilton, Taylor Faith Hamilton, Abigail Grace Hamilton, Michael James Osborne, Thomas Fisher Hamilton, Anna Grace Strickland, Rachel Lea Hamilton, Rebekah Nell Osborne, seven great-grandchildren, Noah Ezekial Hamilton, Scarlet Frances Lee, Luke Benjamin Hamilton, Violet Scot Lee, Greyson Thomas Lee,and babies Giggey and Lee on the way, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 2 pm Sunday, Oct 3, 2021, at Grace Chapel Church in Sanford. The Funeral service will be held at 3 pm following the visitation. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In addition to flowers, contributions in memory of Judy to Teen Valley Ranch P.O Box 10 Plumtree, NC 28664 or Annie Belle Register Missionary Society in care of Grace Chapel Church would be greatly appreciated.
