Larry G. Blakley, 79 of Sanford passed away Monday November 12, 2018. Graveside services will be held 2:00pm Wednesday at Carbonton United Methodist Church Cemetery.

 

Larry was born November 25, 1938 in Carbonton, NC, son of the late T.J. and Johnnie Belle Fincher Blakley. He was preceded in death by his brothers Tim Blakley and Johnny Blakley; son-in-law Brian Hinesley; nephew John McInnis and niece Megan Blakley.

 

Larry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janeth Walker Blakley; son, Todd Blakley of Carbonton; daughter, Lee Ann Blakley Hinesley and her son Camden of Sanford; brother, Mike Blakley and wife Susan of Carbonton and sister Pat McInnis and husband Dan of Broadway; niece Teresa Moore and nephews Tim Blakley and Michael Blakley.

 

He was retired from Weyerhaeuser after 20 years. Lover of outdoors, he was a contract grower for Perdue Pilgrims. He enjoyed going to West Virginia to see family and friends. Larry also served in the Army.

 

Special thanks to Community Hospice, especially Patricia Lynch, Christy Cummings and Marie Jeter.

 

For the wonderful ladies that stayed with Larry, Ruby, Jamie, Crystal, Julia, Chantay, Peggy and Cynthia, we will be forever grateful for their compassion and love. Thanks to the office and staff at Brick City Primary Care.

 

The family will receive family and friends at their home.
