Lillian Ernestine Poindexter

Lillian Ernestine Poindexter, 76 of Sanford passed away Wednesday June 8, 2022.

Ernestine was born in Lee Co a daughter of the late Charlie Luther Poindexter and Lillian Lucile Johnson Poindexter. She was preceded in death by her sister, Della P. Jones (Carroll L. Jones) and her brother-in-law John Kelly. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and the Amazing Grace Sunday School Class, a 1964 graduate of Deep River School, and a 20 plus year breast cancer survivor.

Ms. Poindexter is survived by her siblings, Charlie D. Poindexter (Irene), Ruth P. Kelly, and Joanne P. Kellam (Frank) all of Sanford; nieces and nephews, David Poindexter (Kandy), Jacqueline Veasey (Greg), Robert Mounts (Jennifer), Lisa Davidson (Fred), Kristy Gibson (David), Joyce Amezquita (Michael), Joseph Kellam, and Danielle Kelly (Ben Myers); several great nieces and nephews and her beloved four legged companion, Blondie.
