Linda Faye Williams Weeks, 81, of Sanford departed this life on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst after a long fight with Vascular Dementia.
Mrs. Weeks was born in Chatham Co, Sanford, NC, a daughter of the late Tyre Williams and Dorothy Rosser Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Thomas Howard “Tommy” Weeks, son Joey Weeks, grandson Brad Weeks, son in law Scott Huffman, and siblings, Jimmy Williams, Rebecca Williams Marsh and Johnny Williams.
Mrs. Weeks was a member of the first graduating class from Chatham Central High School in 1959 and a former Miss Goldston. She was a homemaker, seamstress, a bookkeeper for Weeks Sand & Gravel Co, worked several years with Weeks Nursery, AJ Schnierson, Four Seasons Apparel and retired from West Lee Middle School. Faye was a devout Christian woman and taught Sunday School for many years. She loved reading, music and playing the piano, and going with her two sisters to yard sales.
Mrs. Weeks is survived by her children, Kim Weeks Love and husband Jim, Lorrie Weeks Huffman, Beth Weeks Lees and husband Jeff, and Ryan Weeks all of Sanford; sister, Patsy Smith (Rev. Ira) of Sanford; Grandchildren, Trey Love, Brandon Huffman, Rebecca Love Pedley (Jacob), Meredith Love Carter (William), Megan Smith Dickens (Luke), Taylor Huffman, Joshua Smith, Lillie Weeks, Karsten Weeks, Julie Ann Weeks, Jerry Alan Lees (McKayla), and Kelli Coffer (Garland); great-grandchildren, River and Boone Dickens, Cooper Pedley, Karleigh, Declan, Oakley, Titus and Noah;; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday at Asbury United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends Sunday following the Committal Service in the Church Fellowship Hall, and at 1503 Stoneridge Rd, Sanford from 4:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
