Mae Estelle Ballinger

Mae Estelle Highfill Ballinger, 94 of Sanford passed away Thursday May 11, 2017. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Monday at St Luke United Methodist Church, Sanford. Burial will follow at 4:30pm at the New Garden Friends Cemetery in Greensboro.

Mrs. Ballinger was born in Guilford Co, a daughter of the late Knox Highfill and Rosa Case Highfill. She was a member of St Luke United Methodist Church since 1960 and also a member of the Home Demonstration Club.

Mrs. Ballinger is survived by her husband, Ernest Earl Ballinger Jr; daughters, Carolyn A. Beisler, and Virginia Rose Boyce each of Sanford; son, Robert Kenneth “Bobby” Ballinger (Teresa) of Sanford; sisters, Hollyce Kirkland (Marvin) of TN, Maxine Blackwood, and Edith Brown both of Greensboro; grandchildren, Brandon Jason Ballinger, Eric Beisler, Jamie Williams, and Kim Williams; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ballinger was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Brian Ballinger and Stuart Beisler.

The family will receive friends at 1:00pm Monday in the Ladies Parlor at the Church.
