Mary Moore Quinn, 79 of Sanford passed away Tuesday February 6, 2018. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Friday at St Francis Anglican Church.
Mrs. Quinn was born in Camden, NJ, daughter of the late Thomas Alfred Moore and Mae Lillian Reihl Moore, and preceded in death by her husband Richard Alan Quinn Sr. Mary was active in her community and her Church where she served on the Altar Guild, Bereavement Committee and as a member of the Women of the Church. Mary was a very competitive bowler and a member of the Sanford Women’s Bowling League. She and her husband were both huge Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles Fans. In retirement they loved to travel and often traveled to NJ to keep up with old friends from their high school. Mary loved her family and hosted every family holiday and event that came around, usually by the pool.
Mrs. Quinn is survived by sons, Richard A. (Rick) Quinn Jr. (Frankie D. Quinn) of Chattanooga, TN and Thomas S. Quinn Sr. (Carol T. Quinn) of Marietta, GA as well as her daughter Patricia Q. Griffin (Michael P. Griffin); grandchildren; Matthew D. Quinn (Courtney C. Quinn), Jamie Quinn (Alexis Arterberry), Richard Alex Quinn, Patrick Dylan Quinn, Thomas S. Quinn Jr. (Colleen D. Quinn), Caitlin A. Quinn, Quinn A. Griffin (Brian K. Bonville) and Kelly G. Griffin; great grandchild Mabel C. Quinn; brother Leonard L. Quinn (Alison Quinn) of NJ.
The family will receive friends following the Memorial service at Mike & Patti Griffin’s residence 504 Valley Rd. Sanford, NC.
