Mildred was married to David on February 17, 1969, and they enjoyed 37 wonderful years together. They loved to spend time together and with friends golfing. Mildred and Dave resided in Ellicott City, Maryland, Sanford, North Carolina, Sun City, Arizona, and New Braunfels, Texas before retiring in Broadway, North Carolina in 1997.

Mildred was a graduate of Seton High School, and attended the Business Training Institute of Baltimore, Maryland. As a member of the Sanford Quilters Guild, she was an avid quilter and she entered and won many ribbons through the years, including first prize for a wall quilt. Mildred cherished family visits and always had a smile on her face. The care and love which she received in her final years by her many special caregiver friends kept her in good health and spirits and provided her with many enjoyable days. We will all miss her greatly.

A memorial service will be held within a few weeks. Final resting place will be in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas. Rodgers and Pickard Funeral Home of Sanford assisted with the arrangements.
