Peggy Thomas Coe

Peggy Thomas Coe, 89 of Sanford passed away Saturday October 16, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday at Tramway Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Coe was born in Moore Co, daughter of the late Winfield Thomas and Bessie Estelle Pierce Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Gray Coe. Peggy was a Charter Member of Tramway Baptist Church where she was a lifetime active member. There she served in many capacities including, Sunday School Teacher, taught GA’s, sang in the Church Choir, and was a member of the kitchen committee. As a devout Christian woman, she lived by the Word of God. Her greatest testimony in life was being a Christian and always living a Christian life. She was adored by her children who are fortunate to have had her as a mother.

Mrs. Coe is survived by her daughter, Carla Metcalf (Charles “Chuck” Fischer) of Columbus, GA; son Lanny Gray Coe of Sanford; three grandchildren, Jason Matthew Coe, Candace Lee Metcalf, and Casey Dianne Metcalf.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm Thursday, at the Church, before the service.
