Raymond Lee Sessoms

Raymond Lee Sessoms, 86 of Sanford passed away Monday August 26, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday at Sanford First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mr. Sessoms will lie in state for one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens.

Mr. Sessoms was born in Lee Co, son of the late Vernon M. Sessoms and Flossie Fody Phillips Sessoms, and preceded in death by his brother, Richard Street Sessoms. Mr. Sessoms was a graduate of Sanford Central High School, attended Sanford Business College and Southwestern Bible College in Oklahoma City, OK. He was a member of Sanford First Pentecostal Holiness Church where he served as Superintendent of Sunday School for 37 years. Mr. Sessoms was a Veteran of the US Army and was a Quality control Supervisor at GKN until his retirement.

Mr. Sessoms is survived by his wife, Lillian Mae Morris Sessoms; his daughter, Maria S. Feldman (Paul); a son, Mark W. Sessoms (Anna); a sister, Barbara Ann Miller; four grandchildren, Aaron Sessoms, Crystal Feldman, Benjamin Feldman (Marcia), and Camden Feldman (Ella).

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00pm at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home.
