Rebecca "Betty" Knight

Rebecca Everett “Betty” Knight, 74 of Sanford passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday March 8^th at Life Springs Church. Burial will follow at Meroney Methodist Church Cemetery in Bear Creek.

Mrs. Knight was born in Lee Co, a daughter of Lee Everett and Ora Hall Everett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Barrett Knight Jr.; siblings, Calvin Everett, Winnie Catherine Woody, Joseph Wesley Everett, Annie Lee Everett McDowell, Elsie Everett Hillard, and Jimmie Blue Everett.

Mrs. Knight is survived by her children, Ricky Wayne Lawson (Cyndi Lawson) of Loris, SC. Karen Knight Gray (Daniel Gray) of Sanford, and Darryl Barrett Knight (Candice Richardson) of Sanford; Siblings, Lucille Stout of Cameron who raised Betty, Allean Jones of Roxboro, Foster Everett of Sanford, and Teresa Brantley of Cameron; eight grandchildren, Dawson Knight, Laiken Ward, Ruby Knight, Hudson Gray, Cory Lawson, Jordan Allred, Courtney Manning and Jami-Lynn Britt.

The family will greet friends beginning at 12:00 pm Friday (3/8/2024) at the Church prior to the funeral service.
