Reese Bryant "RB" Lemmond, Jr.

Graveside services for Reece Bryant “RB” Lemmond Jr., 76 of Sanford who passed Friday May 15, 2020 were held at 11:00 am May 18, 2020 at Buffalo Cemetery with Chaplain Sam Garris and Jeff Reid officiating.

RB was a son of the late Reece Bryant Lemmond, Sr. and Truman Fields Lemmond. He is survived by his daughter, Polli Strickland (Jeremey); his sister Jean Lemmond; brothers Joel Lemmond and Jerry Lemmond; several nieces and nephews; caregivers, Cathy Barber and Elizabeth Mabe.

RB was a graduate of NCSU in Agriculture and an active Moose Lodge Member and had a passion for Saltwater Fishing. From the early 1991’s until 2008, RB enjoyed competitive saltwater tournament fishing on the Southern Kingfish Association tournament trail. In 2005 he and teammate Jeff Reid finished in the top 15 in the North Carolina division and were invited to fish for the National Championship in Biloxi, MS. where they finished in the top 20. They were featured in an article that year in the Angler Magazine along with several newspaper articles where RB stated it was their fishing against the best in the Nation.

Pallbearers were L.T. Holder, Bob Kelly, Chris Kremer, Charles Oldham, James Shackleton and Jeff Reid.
