Rita Schroeder

Rita Mae Lockard Schroeder, 83, of Sanford passed away on Monday April 14, 2025. Memorial services will be held Tuesday April 22, 2025 at 11am at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church.

Rita was born the youngest of 13 children to the late Lee Roy Lockard and Elizabeth Devore Lockard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph F. Schroeder II.

She is survived by her son Joseph F. Schroeder III and wife Carol of Sanford, NC; daughter Rita Mae Julian and husband Stan from Myrtle Beach, SC; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and sister Marion Donovan of Scranton, PA.
