Robert Edward Johnston

Robert Edward Johnston passed away in his home in Shawnee, OK on Monday, August 29, 2022, with his family by his side; he was 74 years old. He served in the Army for two tours during Vietnam from 1965-1968 and again from 1976-1977 and was honorably discharged.

He is preceded in death by his mother Gloria Johnston, father Paul Johnston, and his wife Janice Seagroves Johnston.

He is survived by his daughters Jaime Johnston of TX & Jen Collins (Arlin) of OK, stepchildren Michael Fields of NC, Kevin Fields (Cherrie) of NC & Kristy Oldham of NC, grandchildren Ariel Teague (Logan), Caitlyn Lauver & Railyn Collins, step grandchildren Spencer Oldham & Mikayla Oldham, siblings Glenn Johnston of AZ & Christine Heckerman of CA and special friend & caregiver Melanie Boyd.

He loved flowers, plants and building beautiful landscaping for others to enjoy. He loved watching movies, his favorite TV shows, spending time at church and with his family.
He was loved by so many and will forever be missed.

Memorial services for Robert will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Deep River Park Camelback Bridge, 2145 R Jordan Road, Gulf, North Carolina.
