Rufus Ralph Guerrero

Rufus Ralph Guerrero, 92, of Sanford passed away on Thursday February 13, 2025. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday February 18, 2025, at 2pm at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pocket Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends beginning at 1pm before the service.

Mr. Guerrero was born September 30, 1932 in Woodland, CA, a son of the late Froilan and Emilia Guerrero. He served in the Korea and Vietnam Wars, retiring in 1972 as a SFC. He also held memberships in the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, the Elks, and Special Forces Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Faye McBryde Ennis; brothers Salvador, Eulogio, Frank, Froilan, Joe, Raul, Jesse, and Vincent; sisters Rosemarie Ramirez and Vickie Medina; daughter-in-law Terri Guerrero; and sister-in-law Helen Guerrero. 

He is survived by his wife Beth Guerrero; sons Richard Darrell Guerrero (Kathy) and Gregory Scott Guerrero; daughter Emilia Irene Guerrero; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 3 great, great grandchildren; brother Ruben Guerrero (Gloria); sisters-in-law Annie Guerrero and Marie Guerrero.
