Stephen Bernard Curry, age 62, of Acworth Ga passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday at St Luke United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Lemon Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Steve was involved with sports his whole life and they were one of his passions. At a young age, he was a competitive swimmer and participated in baseball and football. In high school, he was part of the wrestling team. He also was a trumpet player during his high school years. His love for sports continued as he coached his sons throughout their baseball careers and enjoyed observing their high school wrestling success.
Steve was a graduate of East Carolina University where he was President of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. After East Carolina graduation, he launched a successful 38 year career in the pharmaceutical industry. He developed into an outstanding sales professional then took over increasing responsibilities resulting in his last role as Senior National Account Manager.
He was a hardworking man who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was kind and was always making people laugh. Steve was a loving son, father, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is survived by his mother Sarah Curry, sons Patrick Curry, Grant Curry, and Paige Chaney; Daughter, Brittany McMillian; Granddaughter, Emma Valle. Steve is preceded in death by his father, George Curry, brother Dale Curry and sisters, Georgia and Paula Curry.
