Stephen Carl Palangi

Stephen Carl Palangi, 71 of Sanford passed away on July 27,2021.

Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 10,2021 at 7:00 pm at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 6:00 until 7:00 pm prior to the service.

Mr. Palangi was born in Middlesex County, Massachusetts to Carl Frances Palangi and June Mahoney Palangi. He was a Veteran of the US Army and a retired IT specialist. He was a caddy on The Nationwide Tour. He was all about golf and being a Golf Pro at Lake of Woods in Fredericksburg, Va. He was well known around the golf world, caddy at Pinehurst and worked at Tobacco Road and Quail Ridge Golf Courses.

Steve is survived by his wife Linda Chapman Palangi; son David Palangi and Erin Heath of Chesterfield, VA, daughter Kristina Palangi of Birmingham, Alabama; grandchildren Alec and Sophie, sister Sue Meharg and her husband Kenny of Westford Massachusetts, brothers Michael Palangi and his wife Kathy of Spring Creek Nevada and Richard Palangi and his wife Maureen of Nahant, Massachusetts, also many nieces and nephews.
