Steven E. Hempe

Steven E. Hempe, 66 of Sanford passed away Wednesday November 14, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday (11/18/2018) at Shallow Well United Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Mr. Hempe was born in Mass, son of the late John Daniel Hempe and Helel Marie Pratt Hempe. Steve was a US Air Force Veteran, retired Captain with the Sanford Police Dept, and currently working with the Lee County Sheriff’s Dept.

Mr. Hempe is survived by his wife, Camellia Gray Rosser Hempe; son Lynn Lemons of Sanford; granddaughter, Kaitlynn Lemons (Tyler) of Mamers; great grandchildren, Graycen, and Karsyn Marie; sisters, Mary Cox (Ronnie) of Sanford, Ellen McKay of FL, and Ann McDonald (Ralph) of Olivia; brother in law Dean Rosser (Tammy) and sister in law Darnell Rosser Miller; a nephew, Peyton Miller (Tara Hart) and niece Jessie Marie Rosser all of Sanford.

The family will greet friends following the service in the Church Parlor.
