Teresa Gay Spencer

Teresa Gay Spencer, age 74, of Sanford, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Westfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on July 14, 1947, in Lee County, N.C. She was a homemaker and enjoyed painting, crafting, and floral design. Teresa was preceded in death by her husband Thomas D. Spencer, and parents Palmer and Virginia Pattishall.

Teresa is survived by three children; daughters Patricia (Trish) R. Spencer, Heather R. Spencer, and son T. Ryan Spencer; five grandchildren; Haley, Katie, McKaiden, Hannah and Sarah; and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by brother Larry Davis, and three sisters, Carolyn Chipman, Linda Hollar, and Cathy Oldham.

The family would like to thank the staff of Westfield and Liberty Homecare and Hospice for the excellent care Teresa received.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
