Tharon Rosemond Valentino

Tharon Rosemond “Ramona” Valentino, 94 of Sanford passed away Tuesday June 5, 2018.  Services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Valentino was born in Pulaski, VA, daughter of the late Wade Cecil Breedlove and Virginia Price Breedlove. In addition to her siblings, she was preceded in death by husbands, Daniel Hill Ledford, and Frank A. Valentino. “Ramona” as she was known by most people, loved her family, friends, playing Bingo and her Hardee’s lunch bunch.

Mrs. Valentino is survived by her daughter, Bonita “Bonnie” V. Russell and husband Terry of Sanford; sons, Dr. Wade A Valentino and wife Frances of Richmond, VA, and Daniel Allen Ledford and wife Perry of Powell, TN; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one’s choice.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Community Home Care & Hospice, Dr. Kim Finlay-Tozzi, Dr. Joe Tozzi and their staff, her caregivers Diane, Donna, Mary, Michaela, Naomie, Rosa, Sue and Toinette.
