Tulline Roberts

March 24, 1922 — May 1, 2018

Frances Tulline Rice Roberts, 96 of Sanford passed away Tuesday May 1, 2018. Graveside services will be held at Jonesboro Cemetery at 2pm on Saturday May 5, 2018.

 

Mrs. Roberts was born in Lee Co, daughter of the late John Henry Rice Sr and Willie Mae Roe Rice. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by sisters Mary Gladys Rice and Doris Rice Burkehead Mrs. Roberts was educated in Jonesboro, NC, and attended Women’s College in Greensboro. She worked for 30 years for Federal Land Bank and was a dedicated member of Jonesboro Baptist Church.

 

Mrs. Roberts is survived by her husband, Walter L Roberts; daughters, Pennie Christian and husband William A. Christian (deceased) of Sanford and Patricia Causey and husband Brent of Lenoir; a brother, John Henry Rice Jr and wife Katie of Sanford; a sister Henrietta Rice Fulton of Winston-Salem; grandchildren William A. Christian (Noel), Matthew B. Christian, Jeffery B. Causey (Betsy), and Lauren Causey Steinberg; great-grandchildren Melanie Christian, Hannah Christian, Ella Christian, Mary Grace Morrow, Bergen Causey, Sydney Steinberg, Macy Steinberg; and many nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Friday, May 4th from 5:00 until 7:00pm at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home.
